Day Hike @ Lumignano

Location: Lumignano
Come join the Pack for a hike up the hills south of Vicenza. We'll be meeting at 0930 in the parking lot in the middle of Lumingnano across from the town church. We'll try to hike to the top of the hill that overlooks town and has an old cross on the top. If we can't make it all the way, we'll enjoy ourselves as far as we get. Make sure you bring good shoes, appropriate clothing, water (there's no refills along the way), and a snack. Participation in this event can help Scouts achieve their Outdoor Activity Badge, Leave No Trace award (if principles are applied), as well as rank specific achievements/electives. There's also a topographic relief map at the trail head which we'll discuss. Please RSVP to your den leader so we know how many people to expect. We'll begin the hike at 0945 so call if you're running late. In case of inclement weather, I'll make a weather decision at 0800 and call den leaders if we cancel. Den leaders will then call only those who positively RSVPd they'd be attending. Note the trail does get difficult in some places, so it might be difficult for very young children.
