School Night for Scouting

Thanks for expressing interest in Cub Scouting during the Vicenza Elementary School Open House or some previous time during the summer.

Invite you to a special meeting at the Vicenza Elementary/High School Cafeteria.
Come and join Cub Scouting!
Thursday, 14 September 2006 starting at 6:00 P.M.
During the meeting we’ll provide information on how Cub Scouting works, complete the application, collect registration payments, organize scouts into groups by grade level called dens, and coordinate the den’s meeting schedule. We’ll have activities for the boys to do during part of this time. The meeting should last approximately 70-90 minutes.
Registration costs $5.95 and an additional $6.30 for “Boy’s Life” magazine, if you desire. Payments may be made in cash or check. This registration is valid until March 31, 2007 when all scouts in the pack must renew. In the future, dues ($25/scout, $15 for 1st grade boys) may be collected to meet operating expenses of the pack such as awards, patches, etc. We’re currently considering fund raising options which would negate this dues requirement.
We also ask that you consider volunteering in some fashion to help the pack operate. We are in critical need of a volunteer to serve as den leader for a Bear den (3rd grade boys) as we have a plethora of 3rd graders enrolled/interested in the pack. Without this adult leader, six prospective scouts won’t be able to join. Other leader positions which we greatly need volunteers for are listed below:
Committee Chair
Assistant Cubmaster
Secretary / Public Relations / Webmaster
Outings Coordinator
Fund Raiser Chairperson
Historian / Photographer
