Time: All Day Saturday
WHO? All Webelos Scout adult leaders who currently work with Webelos Scouts are encouraged to attend
WHY? Because every Scout deserves a trained leader! This training emphasizes the outdoors skills needed to work with Webelos Scouts and to help them transition successfully to Boy Scout troops. This course is a requirement for the Webelos Den Leader Award, and taught by a combined staff of Webelos and Boy Scout instructors.
WHERE? Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park, 240 Furnace Parkway, Brierfield, AL 3503 5
WHEN? 8:15 AM – 9:00 PM! Check-in 7:45 AM Saturday, October 18, 2008.
COST? $20 per person.
FOOD? Bring your own bag lunch! Supper will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
WHAT TO BRING? Pen, paper, poncho, water bottle, camp chair, a drinking mug, and a smile. Be sure to wear your official Class A uniform!
Brierfield Ironworks Historical Park is located off Interstate 65 on Alabama Highway 25. http://www.brierfieldironworks.com/
From Birmingham:
• Take I-65 South or from Montgomery take I-65 North to Alabama Highway 25 exit.
• Go South on Hwy 25 approximately 15 miles. Park entrance is on the left.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS MONDAY, OCTOBER 13TH, 2008 This will allow time for the staff to prepare enough supplies and teaching handouts. Sorry, NO walk-up registrations will be accepted.
