The first Pack event of the year is again the Shelby District Cub Fishing Rodeo & Family Overnighter at Oak Mountain State Park.
All Cub Scouts and their families are invited to attend. The Overnighter Camp-out is for Shelby District only. The theme for this activity will be based around fishing, but it will be much more. It will be a great opportunity to camp out, participate in a great campfire, and of course FISH!
There will be a campfire on Friday night with skits and songs. Families are invited to camp or can plan on arriving on Saturday. Breakfast on Saturday is not provided. There will be special give-a-ways as well as prizes for fishing. A special Hooked On Scouting T-Shirt will be given to Cub participants. Those fishing age 16 and older will need state fishing license. Make plans now to start off the Scouting year with this great activity.
