What: USS Alabama Trip & Camp-In
When: November 3-4 (Sat - Sun)
Reservations to CM by October 4
Where: Mobile, AL
Cost: $45.00 per Cub and adult pair (This covers the stay on the ship and a patch, it does not cover ear plugs for sleeping)
Troop 532 Bus will be available, if you choose not to ride on the bus then families/Dens will need to make travel other arrangements.
I recommend that each den make dinner plans. There are several restaurants close by and there is always pizza delivery for on-board ship.
Preliminary Itinerary:
Saturday 11/03/04
7:00 AM Leave from home or church.
10:30 AM Arrive Blakeley State Park & begin 6 mile historic hike.
3:00 PM Depart State Park for Battleship Park.
3:30 PM Arrive Battleship Park & have free time in Park.
4:30 PM Dinner on own (on board or on shore at restaurants).
6:00 PM Go on board USS Alabama.
10:00 PM Lights out.
Sunday 11/04/04
6:30 Reveille.
7:30 Depart ship & Mobile.
11:30 Arrive home.
The ship’s sleeping quarters will be restricted to males only. The following are suggestions for any women attending: Best Western Battleship Inn (251-432-2703) (walking distance from ship), Adam’s Mark Hotel (251-438-4000), Ramada Inn (251-626-7200) & Lafayette Plaza (251-694-0100).
Equipment:
Bed-roll or sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, towel, PJ’s, change of clothes, Class A and Class B uniforms, flashlight, camera
