Rocket Launch Event

Cub Scout Pack 46 has been invited back to the Superstition Spacemodeling Rocket Club to fly more rockets! We did this last year and everyone had a great time.
Scouts build their own rockets, and have hands-on experience with the launching of their rockets at the rocket launch facility. Besides the fun of launching your own rockets, you can observe experienced rocketeers launching large rockets.
Scouts need to build their rockets prior to the event. Kits as well as pre-made rockets are available at hobby stores and also at some other retailers. Rockets with a motor size of A thru D should be chosen, the launch setup provided by the rocket club will be for these rocket sizes. Also need to buy motors (sold separately), these need to be purchased by adults.
The launch site is a large 100+ acre facility southwest of Phoenix. A map to this facility is attached.
