What: Scouting For Food Bag Pickup. This is a BSA nationally supported service project that we annually participate in with Troop 202.
When: Saturday, November 21, 2008, 10AM to 2PM

Show up at this location at 10am, and you will be assigned to a group of boy scouts and cub scouts for a route to cover, picking up food at houses for the assigned route.
As you know, one of our Pack's main service projects during the year is the Scouting for Food Drive. The food we collect is contributed to the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Each month, the Food Bank’s network of over 300 hunger-relief agencies provides approximately 120,000 meals to low income and working poor families, children, the elderly, abuse survivors, people with AIDS and the homeless. Scouting for Food is the single biggest source of food donations for the Food Bank. As you may have heard, this year the need is even greater - donations to the Food Bank are off sharply, while demand for food is up significantly - the shelves are often nearly bare.
