CALIFORNIA COASTAL CLEAN-UP WAS A "ROUSING" SUCCESS!

Thank you to all of the members of Pack 556, that showed up with such amazing enthusiasm at 9:00AM yesterday morning!
The turn-out was terrific!
It was truly inspiring to see so many hardworking scouts with their parents and family members helping to make Vasona, a litter-free park!
We were a super success!
If you didn't receive your "Clean-up" patch, please see me at the pack meeting this Friday
After we were finished, and we turned in our bags filled with trash, several of the families went over to the festivities provided by WHOLE FOODS. As we were leaving, one of the supervisors came over to me and said "Thank you to the cub scouts." She said we had the largest group there. Way to go!
Kudos to all of the scouts and their families for making our community cleaner for every one.
What a super way to show that cub scouts have community spirit!
Heard during the morning:
Have you ever heard scouts singing "SpongeBob Square Pants," while cleaning up garbage?
Overheard one scout's comment: "I'd rather be at the camp-out! When are we going there?"
The reply from the other scout: "Yeah, and I even got a new tent!"
The same comment 50 plus times: Smoking is dirty! Why do they leave their "butts?"
