2008 ANNUAL POPCORN SALES!

Location: ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE
We are getting ready to launch our annual "popcorn sales drive."
Not only does our pack benefit from these sales, but the local council also generates operating revenue.
Heading up this fundraiser is "Kernel" Doug Heath.
Doug has been gracious enough to undertake this project for the third year.
"Kernel" Heath will be distributing information and order forms at the September 26th pack meeting.
It's popcorn time again! For those of you that are new to this, every year the scouts get an opportunity to sell popcorn to earn money for the pack and to earn some prizes for themselves.
The process is pretty simple. We will pass out order forms at the pack meeting this Friday. Scouts can then immediately start taking popcorn orders from friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. The order forms need to be turned in to me by October 23. It would be convenient if most of you could get the orders to me at the pack meeting on October 17. If you miss me there, you can drop the order form off at my house (16080 Shannon Road, Los Gatos, 356-3717). Please make sure that your scout selects his prize and enters it on the order form (there's a spot for it toward the bottom of the form).
I will put in our order and receive the popcorn around mid-November. When you deliver the popcorn to your customers you can collect the payment at that time. I will need all proceeds back to me by December 1.
Note that the order form also talks about selling popcorn online. You are welcome to do this, but I'm not sure how (or if) it will mesh with the effort that I am organizing. If you want to do this and need some help figuring it out, let me know.

October 23: Deadline for turning in order form (to Doug Heath)
November 14: Popcorn distributed to scouts at pack meeting
November 14 -> November 30: Deliver popcorn to your customers and collect payment
December 1: Deadline to turn in payment (to Doug Heath)
Note that I am required to turn in the prize orders by December 1. They are historically rather slow in delivering the prizes, so tell your scouts to be patient :-).
