OVERNIGHT ADVENTURE ON THE USS HORNET!
Date: 3/7/09 - 3/8/09
Time: 4:15PM
Location: ALAMEDA
The thrill of being a cub scout! We are excited to announce, our March pack activity, is spending the night on the historic USS Hornet! We are going to have the ultimate overnight adventure. Surrounded by vintage and modern aircraft, children and adults experience what is was like to live aboard a floating city. We will be able to explore the decks of this famous World War II ship, from the Captain's bridge, to the engine room, as we walk in the footsteps of astronauts and heroes. The USS Hornet is the ship that served as an aircraft carrier in World War II and the ship that proudly recovered the first men who walk on the moon, the Apollo 11 and 12 lunar mission astronauts. We are waiting confirmation on the date of this wonderful adventure. A special thank you to Dena Crawford,(Alexander's mom) who took care of all the logistical details to make this activity possible. Thank you so much!
