ANNUAL CUB SCOUT FOOD DRIVE

Time: 12:00AM - 1:30PM
Location: THE AKERS HOME-16561 OLEANDER, LOS GATOS
You should have already received your "Scouting for Food" door hangers. Your den leaders have explained what to do with them and when to collect them. If you do not have any door hangers, contact your den leader and they will be happy to provide you with some. Please remember to collect only non-perishable foods. Nothing that must be refrigerated.
Scouting for Food Timetable
November 1st-9th - "Scouting for Food"- Door hangers distribution- Neighbors, friends and relatives
Saturday, November 15th- Collection Day! Collect food from friends in your neighborhood.
Bring the bags of food collected to the Akers Home at 16561 Oleander, Los Gatos between the hours of 12:00 and 1:30pm. We will be there to load the food and deliver it to the Home Church Food Pantry in Campbell.
We would like to have the assistance of at least three scouts and their families to help load and deliver the food.

All scouts participating in the "Scouting for Food" project, will receive their SFF patch and a
"Good Turn for America" participation ribbon. There will also be a special prize for the scout who has collected the greatest number of pounds of food.(We will have a scale at the school.) This prize will be awarded at the December pack meeting.
This is an especially difficult year for many families. We have all tightened our belts and been more aware of what we spend. If each scout and their family were able to collect just a few bags of food, it would make a tremendous difference for many families in our community. Community service is an important part of scouting. All we ask is to "Do your Best."
