Heal the Bay Annual Coastal Cleanup Day

Park 824 tent and flag will be at set-up near parking lot at corner of 62nd St. and Pacific Ave. Next to the Ballona Creek bridge. PLEASE WEAR UNIFORM! *Meets requirements for: Rank, World Conservation, and Do a Good Turn, requirements. See handbook for details. Patch for Scouts who participate.
What can can you do to turn the tide on trash? As a member of Pack 824, you can participate in Heal the Bay's Annual Coastal Cleanup Day! We will not be alone. We will be working with about 400,000 other people from 100 countries around the world.
Celebrating its 22nd year, Coastal Cleanup Day is a great opportunity for Scouts, family, friends and neighbors to join together to take care of our fragile marine environment. Show community support for our shared natural resources, learn about the impacts of marine debris and how we can prevent them, and have some fun! If you volunteer just one day a year, this is the event!
Last year, over 10,300 volunteers from L.A. County joined together to pick up over 93,000 pounds of trash and recyclables from our beaches and waterways— in just three hours!!! Let us see if we can help Heal the Bay beat those numbers in 2007! All supplies provided by Heal the Bay. Patch for participants.
Parking is VERY limited at this site. Look for parking at Del Rey Lagoon Park, or consider riding your bike.
