Oceans Institute Sleepover!

The Oceans Institute, sleepover, in confirmed for Saturday, February 11, 2006 to Sunday February 12, 2006. This is a GREAT program!
"Life in the Abyss", sleepover begins Saturday at 3:30 pm. They will start the program with the exploration of nocturnal animals in the Living System Lab. We will examine species of sharks and rays, explore the deep with a remote operated vehicle and visit the dock where the light of the 1000 watt squids attract animals of the night. In the morning we venture to the sea (a one hour boat trip) to conduct studies in the Living Systems Cruiser. Dinner, snacks, and breakfast included. We sleep in a special indoor/outdoor room with padded floors. Weather permitting, we may have a bonfire in the evening. Program concludes, Sunday, 9:00 am. Patch included for all Scouts.
Cost is $60.00 for all scouts.
You will need: CLASS 'B' UNIFORMS! Sleeping bags, warm clothes (layers are good), toothbrush, and MOST IMPORTANT, closed, rubber soled shoes (sneakers) If you are not wearing sneakers, you will not be permitted on the boat. If you need it, remember your dramamine!

From LA
Take the 5 freeway South Exit on Pacific Coast Highway Stay in the Right Lane of the Exit ramp and go North on PCH Turn Left onto Dana Point Harbor Drive. The road ends in the Oceans Institute Parking lot.
