Uniforms

Date: 7/31/09

Did you know Scouting is the largerst uniformed group in the entire world? It's true. The Scout uniform is a symbol of the commitment and service the Scouts provide. Every Scout in the U.S. should take pride in wearing their uniform, as they are recognized for being part of Boy Scouts of America.

You as a parent can help in this by making sure your son is in his proper full uniform when required. For example if the Class A uniform is to be worn for a parade and your son shows up in his Class B T-shirt, this can make him feel awkward because he stands out and is not "uniform" with the Pack. The same holds true for larger Pack events such as Pack Meetings, Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold, etc.

As a new Cub Scout Parent it can be difficult to find the correct uniform and accessories for your son's uniform. Provided is a document with color pictures of all the uniforms for each rank (Tiger, Wolf, Bear & Webelos) as well as a description of each item and the price for each item.

Where do I purchase Materials for scouting:
There is a new facility in Fairburn that opened Summer 2008 in Fairburn.

Fairburn Scout Shop:
Phone: (770) 306-0510
Address:
107C Laser Industrial Court Fairburn, GA 30213

$2 a patch, is the cost for sewing patches at the store. This cost is paid to workers, not Flint Fiver Council, so you will have to pay cash or write a check. All other uniform costs can be paid by check, cash, or credit card.
