Happy Monday,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the Bears & Webelos had a blast (almost an Artic blast on Saturday morning) this past weekend at Scoutland.
Our campsite was perfect, located right on the waters edge (well, if the lake had been full, it would have been right on the waters edge), tents on platforms complete with beds (great for these ole bones) and the program of events was well planned/executed. Our boys were able to shoot BB guns, sharpen their bow & arrow skills, and complete the requirements for several belt loops.
I want to thank everyone who helped to put this event together. Brian Schnitzer took the lead and did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed for the weekend (yes, thanks to the loan of Ms Judi's coffee pot, I had coffee). Jackie Perry took care of buying the food for us and helped to get all the equipment/food distributed so we could get it all to camp. My thanks to all the dads for helping keep track of our boys, preparing meals, and everything else ya'll did (too much to list here) to make this a successful weekend.
Our next camping trip will be the weekend of April 24th - 26th at Camp Rotary on Lake Hartwell. Please let your Den Leaders know if you will be attending so we can get a list and plan appropriately. We will have more info on this trip, soon.
