YOUR SON, CUB SCOUTING AND YOU...

As a parent, you want your son to grow to be a person of worth, who is a self reliant, dependable and caring individual. Scouting has the same goals in mind for him... A Cub Scout Pack is a non-profit organization. The Pack maintains itself through fundraising projects and annual dues of $100 per Cub Scout... Activities are intended for the whole family. The Pack and Den usually meet once a month. The monthly Pack meeting is led by the Cubmaster. A Pack is made up of all Dens. The Den is led by a Den leader(usually a parent of a boy in the Den). A Pack is made up of all Dens. Pack Meetings are the primary way in which Cubscouts receive praise and awards in front of their peers and families. Den meetings generally are to be preceded by Pledgae of Allegiance, Cub Scout Promise and Law of the Pack, each Den establish its own system and schedule for conducting den meetings. Tiger Scouts (1st grader) require a parent or at least one adult 18 years of age or older accompany the tiger scout to all Den, Pack, and outing/camping/go see event. Parents of Wolf and Bear Scouts are encouraged to be at Den meetings. The uniform requirement for Cub Scouts (Tiger,Wolf and Bear): They need to have the blue uniform shirt with the appropriate patches attached. (Patriots Path Council patch on top of left sleeve and the number 5 8 2 directly under the Patriots Path Council patch). The appropriate (Tiger, Wolf and Bear) cap, neckerchief and neckerchief slide.They are encourged to wear them to school instead of school uniform on Den and Pack meeting dates.
