The Blue & Gold banquet is our annual award banquet for Pack 270 Scouts and their families, and it is a time for families to come together and honor the efforts and achievements of their Scouts during the past year. Scouts receive Rank advancements and their awards that they have earned. The evening will also highlight are Webelos II cross over and Arrow of Light Ceremony to those dedicated Scouts that have earned this prestigious award. Boy Scouts Troop 270 will be assisting in the ceremony. This is one of our most important events of the year and we hope every family will attend.
We will also use the Blue & Gold Banquet to highlight community service projects, and announce the charitable activities the Pack has done over the year.We will also have a series of skits specific to the history of scouting.
The dinner will be casual and we ask that all scouts and their leaders be in uniform. This is a sit down dinner that will include both an adults menu and children menu. Menu has been established. There is an option for those individuals that prefer vegetarian. However, you must indicate in the RSVP if you prefer this alternative. The cost is $20.00 per adult and $10.00 for children ages 4-12. Children over the age of twelve will be at the adult rate and menu. Children under the age of three are free. Scouts and Den Leaders are free as long as they have met the fundraising requirements. Please RSVP online. Please send payments to your den leaders by 1/20/2007. Checks made to Pack 270. Any questions on these requirements please call. Sorry, but we have a strict deadline as we are responsible for the cost of all that we guarantee to Holiday Inn Select. Therefor modification after 1/20/2007 cannot be made. Cost for this event is modest as the pack is absorbing part of the overall cost. All fees and gratuities are included. When you RSVP you must indicate the age of the children and how many scouts in your family. We will do are very best to seat dens as close as possible to each other. However, we are somewhat restricted in that we need to fill each table. Your families will sit together as they did at the Christmas Party. Specific information regarding All Dens contributions to the ceremonies will be given to the den leaders in weeks to come.
