Hike for Life Info

All Scouts & Families,
We have another opportunity for some Community Service.
PASS' 2009 Hike for Life. They are trying to get the word out about the Hike for Life and would appreciate it if the scouts would come out at some point during the hike whether you are able to make a pledge, participate in the hike or just simply take part in the various activities going on, they would appreciate the support of the scouts. If you are able to attend,
please wear your scout shirt, (Pack t-shirt is fine). The details are as follows:
Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 8am to 2pm. Parking and registration at Peace Community Church, 130 S Rt 45, Frankfort. Walk the Old Plank Trail for the Hike for Life. Complimentary Picnic Lunch, Children's activities (face painting & inflatable jump house), Youth Group tournament (call to register), Bring your dog for the walk (on a leash) - complimentary water, biscuits and nail trimming, Complimentary coffee drinks, live worship and music to celebrate the day (local church worship teams), Shine FM 89.7 will broadcast live at the Hike.
Hope the scouts can come out so that we can support Peace as they let us use their facilities for our holiday party. More importantly though, PASS, network of life-affirming care in Tinley Park is a life changing ministry in our community. Life, the heartbeat of their mission is accomplished through
Prevention, Intervention, Housing & Restoration. They teach abstinence until marriage and sexual integrity messages through school, churches & civic groups. On average, PASS addresses over 2000 personal crisis pregnancies. They also provide safe shelter through Shepherd's House for expectant mothers.
