Wolf Den 4 Final Meeting of the Year
Our final den meeting was held last week at Tore's Restaurant. Everyone was able to make it so we all got to say,"Good by" for the summer.
We opened the meeting with the Pledge and our first order of business was to give a special "Thank You" went out to the Paulsen family for sponsoring the meeting at their restaurant. We also offered a note of congratulations to all of our families for the help and encouragement they gave to each of our scouts and to the den leaders. Without that help and encouragement, our scouts would not have been able to achieve their goals this year.
We went on to present Matt Burke and Bobby Paulsen their awards of wolf badge and a gold arrow tip.
We announced a leadership change for Den 4. Denise Dugan will be stepping down as co-leader of Den 4 and Dave Sesterhenn will be stepping up a co-leader along wtih John Dugan. Dave has shown a real excitement and interest in Cub Scouting and has also shown a genuine knack for relating to the boys in a positive manner. We all welcomed Dave.
Denise isn't going far though. She has offered her services as den photographer, web site manager and general den secretary.
We announced that the schedule for next year will remain the same so that as the summer comes to a close and you're setting up schedules for the fall/winter, you'll know to keep the second Thursday of each month available for den meetings.
A final reminder to get your checks for $35 into the den leaders for registration for next year by August 1st. After that the registration fee is $40. This check is to be made out to Pack 270 and goes to Rainbow Council.
With business out of the way, everyone enjoyed pizza, drinks and desert.
With a final "good by" to all, the meeting ended. We are all looking forward to seeing everyone next year. Have a great summer
