April 25 -27 - Encampment 08

Location: Kansas State Fairgrounds
Every 5 years the biggest Scouting event in Kansas comes to the fairgrounds and Encampment 08 will be held April 26th!
Encampment 08 is truly shaping up to be the biggest, most exciting event in the history of Scouting in Kansas! Just some of the events that are going to happen or that are still in the works:
· A professional magician that has performed at Disneyland!
· An amazing fireworks show
· Inflatables for Cubs and Scouts
· The Bubble Man will be there trying to set the WORLD RECORD for the largest bubble ever! He claims he can get hundreds of boys in ONE bubble!
· A professional BMX show straight from the X games!
· Animals of all kinds
· Shooting sports galore
· A hot dog eating contest for youth AND adults!
· Worlds largest Pinewood Derby
· The National Guard will be there with military vehicles and their climbing wall!
· Coleman and Backwoods plus many other vendors
These are just a handful of the almost 100 events and activities that the Encampment team is working on!
We are expecting over 5000 Scouts and family members at this event and we hope to get 100% attendance from Pack 321! The events start at 9am and wrap up with a great fireworks show in the Grandstand at 10pm. The cost for this full day of activities is $15 per person, age 5 and under free. Also if you sold $500+ in popcorn you can attend at no charge.
This will truly be an event that your scout will always remember. Please let your den leaders know how many from your family will be attending and turn in your registration fees to them no later than April 1st.
