** Note: The KC Star has changed the time of our tour to 4:00 pm in order to accomodate our large group. They are able to accomodate 30 total participants. For safety reasons, tour-goers must be at least 8 years of age. Waiver Form: Every child MUST have a waiver form completed and in hand to participate in the tour. The new Press Pavilion is not in the main Star building. Please be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early and give yourself plenty of time to park as there is no reserved parking.) Directions: From North I-35 South, keep left to US-71 exit 3 toward I-70 East. Take 11th street exit to Grand Blvd and turn left. Take Grand Blvd., south to 16th street, turn left and straight to McGee. From South I-35 North to Broadway exit. Stay in right hand lane and go straight on Truman Rd. Take Truman Rd to Grand Blvd and turn right. Take Grand Blvd to 16th Street, turn left and straight to McGee. From South Go north on 71 Hwy (which turns into Bruce R. Watkins). Continue north take the Truman Rd exit. Turn left on Truman Rd. Take Truman Rd to Grand Blvd and turn left. Take Grand Blvd to 16th Street and turn left and straight to McGee. From East I-70 West toward Kansas City. Keep left, take I-670W / I-70 Alt. Take the Truman Rd exit. Turn left on Grand. Turn left on 16th Street and straight to McGee. From West I-70 East, keep left to I-670 E. Keep left, take the Central Street exit. Turn right on Central Street. Turn left on 16th Street and straight to McGee. Parking: We have no designated spot for tour parking. (The large lot across from the Pavilion is for employees only and has a key-card entrance). There are parking meters on McGee and some of the side streets OR there's also street parking on Oak Street (east side of the Pavilion) and it is not metered. Please encourage everyone to wear walking shoes. The building is 3 levels, lots of walking and many steps. Dress: Class "A" Uniform
