Hannaford Supermarket Field Trip
The Webelos went on a field trip to Hannafords' Supermarket in Norwell. Sharon Rumble took the boys on a tour of the Produce Section, Meat Department, Seafood, and behind the scenes in the Freezer Section.
We got a taste of two exotic fruits, the Horned Melon and the Star Fruit and in the Deli Department we got a slice of cheese. We visited the Lobsters in the tank too! We then moved on to the Freezer at 32 degrees below zero! BRRRRRR!!!! Then Paula in the Bakery show us how to decorate a cake and gave us a cookie. mmm good!! We went over to the refrigerated department and visited Steve! Thanks Steve!
We learned that the first cereal made was Chex, most of us thought Corn Flakes or Wheaties!! Who would of thought!!!
We really want to thank Hannaford's, especially our wonderful tour director for a very informative and FUN trip!
