Dear Parents and Akelas,
Today we are still looking at our national and state flags. We did a bit of research on what the Pledge of Allegiance means as well as listening to our fellow cub scouts talk about some historical facts from their own state flags.
We practiced a flag ceremony and helped our newest members practice their requirements for the Bobcat rank.
We worked on:
Achievements 2a: Give the Pledge of Allegiance and tell what it means.
Achievements 1a, b, c, d, and e and one of the following: 1f-l.
Next week, we will be discussing the state flag and what it symbolizes. If you have a state flag from your favorite state, please bring that along. We will also begin to discuss personal health and habits to keep ourselves in good running order.
If you are/were unable to attend, please help your scout stay on track and go over the Achievements covered.
