Flag Day at Fort McHenry

Join us as we visit Fort McHenry on Flag Day. If we arrive early, we can tour the fort before the celebrations begin. There will be re-enacters there, as well as fireworks and other activities to celebrate the birth of our flag.
An event sponsored by the American Flag Foundation to foster patriotism. This annual event encourages citizens all over the United States to pause at 7:00 p.m. (EDT) and say the Pledge of Allegiance. A concert of patriotic music and fireworks follows.
We will be meeting outside the Fort at 4:30. At that time we will go inside, watch the 15-minute movie on Fort McHenry. We will then do the Junior Range program. At 7:00 we will participate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Then have a picnic and wait for the fireworks.
Please bring your blankets and food for the picnic that evening. You can leave your food in the cars in a cooler. All you'll need to do is get your hand stamped to return to the park after getting your food.
