Iditarod Dog Sled Team visits Eagle School!

Tasha Stielstra will be in the gym at Eagle Elementary on Thursday, November 29th, at 6 PM. She is a member of Michigan's only Iditarod Dog Sled Team. She is likely bringing two actual race dogs with her, will tell us some about the dogs, and will provide some education about the race itself.
For the event, each Scout should bring a donation of canned or bagged dog food, or some sort of dog treat. All donations will be forwarded to the Michigan Humane Society.
It has been recommended that the Scouts watch the movie "Balto," which is about the Iditarod. Doing so might just spark some very interesting questions for Ms. Sielstra.
