Maybe too scary
The Tunnel of Terror that is. We had to have several baby brothers and sisters rescued by our highly trained Scout Ghost Busters. My thanks to all who participated in this Halloween Party. It exemplifies the best of Cub Scouting to me: a group of boys and their parents engaging their imaginations to create a fun, wholesome activity out of apples, cardboard, and old picket fence. I appreciate everyone who volunteered, jumped in, or just enjoyed this years party/ But special thanks go out to: Matt Neils and his Viking Crew for hours spent building the the best Tunnel of Terror ever. Louis Hoffman and Brenda Froislandfor saying okay no matter what I asked them to do or how busy they are. Big Chief Sheldon Quaderer for taking the Vikings to the HOBT to learn about shadow puppets. Ann Waller for standing on the other side of a paper swamp from her most feared creatures. Paul Brookner for showing what can be done with birdies and cups - less is more. Deb Munson for setting bowling pins with no fingers in her costume - thank goodness for grandsons! Jean Hutchinson-Legler and Gunnar for being the last ones out of the church. The Wellers for the Hanging Apples and Keith for still acting like a Den Chief. Eric, Ted, and our many Wolves for creating a hockey game that looked like it belonged at the State Fair. The Minnesota Herpetological Society for showing who we might really find in the swamp. And Tiffany Neils and her gang of spooks for balloon pumpkins, decorations and, punch.
