We went Hawaiian - as the snow came!
This year's Hawaiian-themed Blue and Gold Dinner was a great success! We had a great dinner, caricatures and magic while we waited, lots of awards for our hard-working Scouts, and five great skits and songs!
Many thanks to all who helped -
- The Webelos I and II Dens and their leaders, Daniel Amyx, Sandi Horn, Stephanie Petersen, and Sheldon Quaderer as well as Webelos parents Brian DeVore, Beth Harrington, and Jay Simmering for help setting up. Daniel and Sandi, with Ann Waller, also oversaw serving and Stephanie baked the cakes.
- Beth Forest, Tiffany Neils (who masterminded the decor), Pamela Reimler, Ann Waller, and Boy Scouts (and Pack 120 alumni) Ben Hoffman (Troop 132), Robert Pikkarainen (Troop 120), and Keith Weller (Troop 187) who helped set up. Pamela also orchestrated cake service.
- Daniel Amyx for making arrangements with Riche's Kicken Cafe, the caterer, for bringing miscellaneous food supplies, and to Rich and to Patty Weller for buying the paper and plastic supplies. Patty also frosted the cakes.
- Our Den Leaders and parent helpers for five great songs and skits!
- Various Boy and Cub Scouts who served beverages.
- Chartered Organization Representative and Bethel Family and Youth Minister Brenda Froisland for an inspiring invocation.
- Cubmaster Matt Neils for an inspiring welcome and a well-run meeting.
- The Bears and the Wolves for bringing in and retiring the colors.
- Steve Meyer for the slide show.
- Adnan Shati for drawing caricatures in exchange for donations to the Pack's race track fund.
- Tycho Amyx and Marshall Kadlec for tableside magic.
- And especially all who stayed to help clean up.
Thanks for coming!
