Who knew there was so much to see in Saint Paul?!
Six Scouts from the Webelos I, Bear, and Wolf Dens did a 3.5 mile, six-hour walking tour of Saint Paul. Two Webelos Scouts joined us for the State Capitol tour. We started out at the Hulings Scout Service Center at Marshall and Western Avenues in Saint Paul; briefly visited the Saint Paul Cathedral; passed the James J. Hill House; had lunch at the Minnesota History Center; learned about several of the many monuments and statues at the Capitol mall; toured the Capitol (visiting the Rotunda, the House of Representatives Chambers, and "meeting" the first female member of the House), stopped at the Minnesota National Guard Armory, Candyland (not historic but tasty!), Saint Paul City Hall, and the east portal of the old streetcar tunnel that took Selby-Lake line streetcars up the hill. Many thanks to Daniel Amyx for organizing this event!
