Viking Patrol rocks Stearns Scout Camp
Between singing everywhere we went and carrying our awesome axe and everchanging shield, the entire camp was aware that Vikings were in the hizzouse. We chalked a new message on our wooden shield three times per day, so soon, at every meal, the whole camp was eagerly craning their necks to see what new wisdom we were sharing. But the biggest reaction was when we marched back from the paintball range with evidence of our marksmanship thoroughly splattered on our shield. We were buddied up with the Webelos from Pack 384 in Richfield and, by the end of the week, they were calling themselves Vikings and singing just as loud as were. We also learned that it's possible to flip a rowboat, how to use a compass, and that "Be Prepared" is a state of mind.
