Singing and sledding!
We started out the morning at Providence Place nursing home and sang a variety of popular Christmas songs for the residents at different locations on three different floors. There were about thirty Scouts and they looked great in full uniform! Many thanks to Choirmistress Margaret Sullivan, mom of Webelos I Scout Derek Parshall for leading our choir.
After that, we headed to the hill. John Britton and Bill Taylor had the grill and stove and hot dogs and beans warm (thanks to Deanna DeMay for shopping at Costco). Scouts and parents dined in between runs down the big hill, although some Scouts needed more encouragement than others to take a break from sledding to get some calories into them.
