Webelos Scouts visit Civil Air Patrol
Did you know that the Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force Auxiliary, is a non-profit organization that performs ninety percent of all air search-and-rescue operations in the United States (in fact, the Nevada CAP is leading the search for missing adventurer Steve Fossett)?
Our Pack's Webelos Scouts visited the CAP Squadron at the Twin Cities Air Force Reserve Base, learned about aviation pioneers "Hap" Arnold and Steve Curry and some really obscure flag facts, and got the basics of marching and flag ceremonies working with CAP cadets.
Thanks to the Squadron for their hospitality and to Cubmaster Daniel Amyx for arranging this field trip.
