Arbor Day Update
Date: 4/14/09
I have recieved additional information for those who wish to participate in the Arbor Day tree planting with the Woodbury Park and Rec Department -
The meeting place will be at the intersection of Lake Ridge Drive and Pelto Path in northeast Woodbury. There is no parking lot at this location, but there is plenty of on-street parking available. (There are no homes in the area yet.)
Directions from I-94: Take Woodbury Drive south to Fox Run Road. Left on Fox Run Road to Brookview Road. Follow Brookview Road past Saint Johns Drive (the street name changes to Eastview Road at this point) to Lake Ridge Drive. Right on Lake Ridge Drive. Follow to Pelto Path. You should see a large tent from the street.
Please plan to arrive at the park location by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, to recieve instructions for planting trees. We would appreciate your bringing with you shovels, work gloves and suggest you wear clothes you won't mind getting soiled. The City of Woodbury's park crew will dig the appropriate sized holes and provide the trees for planting. Also, the crews will be on hand to assist you with the plantings.
Again, we wish to thank you on behalf of the City of Woodbury for volunteering to participate in the nation's 137th Arbor Day Tree Planting Program.
