Summer Hike at Bobbit's Hole June 14th 10 am

Location: Eno River State Park
Our first Summer activity will be a hike to Bobbit's Hole at the Eno River State Park on Saturday June 14 from 10 am-1 pm. Bobbit's hole is a lovely spot for a picnic lunch, sketching wildlife, and wading or rock hopping (http://www.trianglehike.com/13/cole-mill-and-bobbits-hole-trails/). The trail is a fairly easy 2.6 mile loop. Note that the trailhead begins at the Cole Mill Access of Eno River State park, further south on Cole Mill Road than the Fews Ford Access we have used on previous hikes. Details:
Meet: 10 am, Saturday June 14 in the picnic shelter of the Cole Mill Access area of Eno River state park. Wear: Hiking boots/sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, bug repellant, a hat, class B uniform shirt Bring: Water bottle, picnic lunch, water shoes (optional, but useful if you don't like wet, muddy walking shoes) We will provide: A snack and drink for the end of the trail, first aid kit, sketching paper and pencils, buoys to rope off a wading area at Bobbit's hole

Cathleen's Directions: From I-85, take the Cole Mill Rd. exit. Travel north 3.4 miles. Turn left onto Old Cole Mill Rd. (Umstead Rd. is to the right). The road dead-ends in the parking lot of the park. The picnic shelter is off slightly to the right.
