Pack 225 Pinewood Derby

Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM

Weigh-in and pre-race inspections begin at 12:00 pm and end at 1:30 pm. Only 1 car entry per Scout. After the car has been approved for race entry and moves past the inspection station, it will be placed in the Race Impound Area. SCOUTS MAY NOT TOUCH OR WORK ON THEIR CARS AFTER IT MOVES TO THE IMPOUND AREA UNTIL AFTER THE RACE IS OVER. Race officials will handle all cars during races including setup, racing and bringing cars back to the starting line.
A work area will be available to adjust weights if needed and last minute "graphite lubing" BEFORE the car enters the Race Impound Area
Racing begins at 2:00pm.
Tigers will race first, then Wolves, Bears, Webelos I and then Webelos II. After all dens have raced, their top winners will advance to the pack final.
After all races have been run, the track will be opened to any other siblings (brothers or sisters) that have a car that they would like to run or possibly your scout's second car that was not entered in the main derby AS LONG AS the track is still under the operation of the track judge. Track will close at the discretion of the track judge after siblings have had a chance to run (we don't want to be there all night running other cars).
Open Class for ANYONE run after trophies awarded.
Trophies will be awarded to:
Each den, first, second and third place winners
First, second and third place winners in the pack
Cars will be judged and trophies awarded for the following catagories:
Most Patriotic
Most Creative
Best Paintjob
Safest Driver
Top 3 pack winners will advance to the District Races.
