November Parent Planning Meeting November 2, 2006 Meeting Minutes
Randy Ellis reported on pack finances.
John Lazor reports popcorn total sales tally at $12,375.00. This is less than our previous Pack performance. Sixty-six scouts are registered to our Pack, 46 sold popcorn, 18 had total sales over the goal of $300.00 and average per scout was $187.50. Highest pack seller was Webelos 2 scout Ben with $1001.00. Top selling den was Den 8 the Black Dragon Patrol. The Dragons will get a pizza party. Top scout in each rank will get a gift card. We get to keep about 1/3 of the sales as Pack profit. Thanks to Mr. Lazor for being the Popcorn Kernel again this year. Need to recruit a new Kernel for next year.
Cub Scout Good Turn Day is November 4th. Each scout is to bring a bag of good used clothing for the VOA. Drop off donations at the Moore Property that morning anytime before noon. Put the scout’s name one the bags to get credit for the donations and get a patch.
Popcorn pickup will be Saturday, November 11th, 10am-11am. Have your den's parents pick up their popcorn at that time at Moore Property. We ask that each den send at least one volunteer at 9:30am to help unload and sort.
VOA Food Drive: All dens need to collect non-perishable food items the morning of November 11th and delivery them when they pick up the popcorn. There is a Word file on the website that you can download and print to distribute to your assigned neighborhood that explains the VOA food drive. Just put fliers in the neighborhood paper boxes or on mailbox flags on Wednesday or Thursday before the food drive. Then pick up the food from the front porches the morning of the drive. Here are the assigned neighborhoods for each den:
Den 1 – Woodview Den 2 - Chatham Den 3 – South Half of Four Seasons Den 4 - Geauga Lake Den 6 - Summerhill Den 8 – Wellington/ Reserves of Aurora Den 10 - North Half of Four Seasons Den 11 – Country Club Den 12 - Lakes of Aurora Den 13 – Highlands
VOA Bell Ringing will be December 9th at Wal-Mart at Four Corners. More info to follow.
Crafts at Independence Village is tentatively scheduled for December 13th 6:30pm-7:30pm. More info coming.
Finalized plans for the Manatoc Campout.
Respectfully Submitted, Bill Sekela Pack 3269 Webmaster
