Rocket Blast was a Blast - PHOTOS ADDED
The weather finally cooperated and the Rocket Blast went off without a hitch. About 25 scouts participated and got to shoot off their rockets at least three times each. Awards were given for best paint, most patriotic, most lifelike and most futuristic. Each scout that won one of these catagories recieved a $10 Wal-Mart gift card. We even got to launch a few larger rockets including one with a small camera in the nosecone. We will see how these photos come out. Remember that every scout that participates in three summertime activities recieves a Summertime Award in the fall. Thanks to Mr. Ellis, Mr. Sekela and Mr. Gambatesta for setting up and running the event.
