OVERNIGHTER PHOTOS
We kicked off the new scouting year with an overnight camping trip at Alverthorpe Park. We did some hiking, some fishing, we launched water bottle rockets, and learned about the special kind of camping that the Equi family does. They are a family that enjoys backpacking. Mr. Equi showed cub scouts the backpacks their family uses, the things they bring with them on a trip, and even cooked some of the special food that they carry. That night we had a big cookout-feast. We sang around the campfire, but we also got serious and learned about flag retirement as we retired a worn flag at the end of our pack meeting. We spent the night in our tents and woke up to a beautiful morning. Take a look at the photos and have fun all over again!
