A RAINY HIKE
Huge apologies go out from the hike leader, Mrs. Shields! In my calendar, I wrote down a 10:00 a.m. start time for this hike. I should have gone straight to the website, which is after all, the best place to find pack information! Had I done that, I would have known that the hike started at 10:30. I was in the parking lot by 10:00 a.m., and after waiting 15 minutes I was sure that everyone had decided not to hike in the wet weather. So, I set out on a solo hike to the far end of the property and back. Everyone else arrived at the correct time at 10:30. By then, I was off on the trail and missed the group completely.
Again, I'm sorry for that. But, I'm really glad to hear that everyone had a great time visiting the center and the pond without me. I am also glad to see happy faces on the wet people in the photo. It all goes to prove that cub scouts have fun no matter what happens!
