Pack 184 Joins over 400 Scouts at Barnstormers' First-Ever Scout Night Sleepover
Following an exciting baseball game, on a warm, rainy, and humid Saturday night, the Scouts of Pack 184 joined over 400 other Scouts at the Lancaster Barnstormers' First-Ever Scout Night Sleepover. (The Barnstormers' lost to the Riversharks 6-5 in a ballgame that was thrilling into the bottom of the ninth inning.)
After the game, it was the Scouts turn to pitch. Everyone left the stadium and the Scouts returned with their camping gear and pitched their tents. Upon re-entry to the ballpark, all Scouts and Scouters received a special badge to commemorate the event.
The movie "The Incredibles" was the feature for the evening -- the film started around 11:00 PM -- the first rainstorm began shortly after. The movie was not over until the early morning hours. Taps was sounded around 2:00 AM.
Around 4:30 AM we were treated to a thunder and lighting show complete with lots of rain. By 6 o'clock, the rain stopped. Reveille played at 7 AM, we had breakfast with Tony and camp was broke.
