The Daniel Boone Homestead, located near Reading, Pennsylvania, is a state historic site which preserves a number of historic structures. Today the site tells the story of Daniel’s youth and the saga of the region’s 18th century settlers by contrasting their lives and cultures.
Our Scouts will tour the grounds, have a scavenger hunt and learn about early frontier life.

Directions to Daniel Boone Homestead (travel time about 40 mins) - Take Route 422 West at King of Prussia - Travel approximately 30 miles - After Pottstown look for these landmarks: Merritts Doll Museum on the right and C&J Tires on the right - After C&J Tires, look for brown sign with white letters – Daniel Boone Homestead – with an arrow pointing to the right - Make the first right after the sign at the traffic light – Daniel Boone Road - Travel 1/2 mile to the site
