October 16 - Care Packages for the Troops in the Middle East
Date: 10/16/07 - 10/16/07
Time: 7:00PM - 8:00PM
Location: WES Little Theater
We will be splitting the Pack into 10 groups. Each group will compose letters and pictures thanking each serviceperson for his or her service to our country. Included in each package will be items that the men and women will appreciate while serving in the desert.
Paper and writing utensils will be provided for the letters and pictures, but we need each Cub Scout to bring 3-5 items that will be appropriate to pack in the Care Boxes. As for what to bring to the meeting, the alphabet is split into 2 categories. Please only bring items that are in your category:
PLEASE BRING 3 TO 5 OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
IF YOUR LAST NAME BEGINS WITH A-K
- Sanitizing/cleansing wipes
- Q-tips
- Hand sanitizers
- Deodorants (men & women)
- Soaps
- Lotions
- Sunscreens
- Aspirin
- Toothpaste
- Shampoos
IF YOUR LAST NAME BEGINS WITH L-Z
- small electronic games
-Magazines of recent vintage for men and women (sports, outdoors, Maxim, -Readers Digest, People, etc.)
-Powder drink mixes (Gatorade, crystal lite, etc…)
-Sunflower seeds (or similar products)
-Pre-paid Phone cards
-Hard candies
-Cookies
-Snacks…all kinds (no chocolate…it melts)
-Cup-o-noodle soups
