Fort Mifflin
Fort Mifflin was originally built by the British in 1771. During the Revolutionary War, the British attacked the fort and its garrison of 400 Continental soliders. During the week-long battle, the British shot over 10,000 cannonballs at the fort. On November 8, 2008 the 231st Anniversary of the Siege of Fort Mifflin was commemorated with two re-enactment battles, living history programs, tour, demos, kid's games, 18th century music concerts, sutlers with Colonial wares, and much more.
