Archdiocesan Youth Protection Program- Protecting God's Children
To any parents of Cubs in Pack 414 who will be serving as a volunteer at camp (Day or Overnight Webelos Camp) or as a Cub Scout Leader next year, it is mandatory that you complete this program
The following is taken from the MMR website: http://www.mmredeemer.org/Safe%20Enviornment/protecting_god's_children.htm
All priests and deacons, as well as parish staff and volunteers who have regular contact with children, must attend Safe Environment training. This training will provide a greater understanding to the adults in our Church on how they can be protectors of children and models of appropriate behavior and relationships. It will teach them to be advocates for those who are most vulnerable. It is also a part of the Church's efforts to support parents in their responsibility to educate their children concerning personal safety. This training session consists of a video presentation and a discussion. It addresses the problem of child sexual abuse in today's society and offers suggestions on how to prevent it. The session will begin at the designated starting time. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for signing in and obtaining your materials. your are expected to remain for the entire session. The training sessions which are posted on this web site are for M.M.R. parishioners only, (however space may be available for St. Stans parishioners who serve as volunteers with Cub Scout pack 414). To sign up for an upcoming session at M.M.R. or if you need to find other locations and times please log onto www.virtusonline.org .
