Greetings all, Sorry I haven't sent this out recently. Here is the recap of the last 3 weeks: 11/3: Completed Achievement 5 by doing Requirement 5E, building something with tools. Thanks to Lowes and Home Depot for providing the kits. 11/10: Started working on our marbles belt loop and completed 2 of the 3 requirements. 11/17: Reviewed the terms and rules from the 11/10 meeting, then played a tournament which completed the third requirement. SOME ADDITIONAL NOTES: 11/24: NO MEETING for Thanksgiving break. 12/1 and 12/8: We will be working on our Christmas banquet decorations. This will be led by Meredith MaGuirk. Parents, please plan to stay and help, especially those who are craft gifted (as opposed to craft challenged like me). Jake Washburn and I will also do some make up each week for things missed that may be difficult to make up at home. I will work off of my attendance sheet for this. It doesn't look to be a lot. 12/15: Pack 14 Christmas Banquet, last meeting for 2008. As I mentioned in the beginning of the year, many of the requirements need to be done primarily at home. So we don't fall behind, please consider completing the following before the end of the year: Achievement 4, Know Your Home and Community, 4A through 4E. This will take about 20-30 minutes to review with your scout. Note also that 4E will take your scout a month to complete. This is not an achievement that can wait until the last minute. To complete 4F, I plan to do a den field trip on Saturday January 24 to the Carnton Mansion. Please keep this date in mind and plan to attend if at all possible. Achievement 10, Family Fun. Throughout the holidays, a lot of this is completed anyway. If you are intentional and plan these things accordingly, you can probably complete the majority of them if not all of them. Please be intentional to tell your scout as he completes these so he feels a sense of accomplishment and that he has earned them (as opposed to them just happening). As always, please call or e-mail with questions. -----Original Message----- From: Den4-Pack14@googlegroups.com (mailto:Den4-Pack14@googlegroups.com) On Behalf Of Jim Clark Sent: Saturday, November 01, 2008 1:27 PM To: Den4-Pack14@googlegroups.com Subject: 10/27 den meeting
