PACK 325 SCOUTS AND PARENTS HAVE A ROARING GOOD TIME

Cub Scout Pack 325
Cub Scout Pack 325 held its annual Pinewood Derby Race on Jan. 20 in the St. Patrick Parish Hall.
Thirty-three Cub Scouts participated in six rounds of head-to-head competition to determine finalists for the championship round.
Eight cars competed in the double elimination round, which resulted in Garrett Heckman in third place, James Vivona in second and Nolan Turley in first. The remaining five contestants in the final elimination trials were Jacob Schornagel, John Sicari, Trevor Trask, Mark D' Antonio and Jeffrey McAteer.
Awards were given to the most original car designs, as well. Winning first place was Zachary Walke for his mini-NASCAR. Kenny Francis won second for his Combat Truck and Stephen Brown's The Red Mad Max placed third.
This year's Pinewood Derby Race was coordinated by Bear Den Leader Jan Walke. Race judges were Scoutmaster Steve Courtney and Committee Chairwoman Carol Courtney.
Both Cub Scout Pack 325 and Boy Scout Troop 325 are sponsored by Battlefield Council 10246 of the Knights of Columbus.
