Battleship Cove
Pack 330 traveled to Fall River, MA to visit Battleship Cove. We were able to explore the battleship USS Massachusetts, the destroyer USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr, the submarine USS Lionfish, PT Boats 617 and 796, and the Russian missile corvette Hiddensee. We set up quarters in the USS Massachusetts berthing room 24. Our Scouts climbed up and down ladders, tried out every gun mount from the 40mm to the 16 inch. We had great meals with our buddies in the Officer's Wardroom. We went out to the bow of the ship where we made electrical circuits to send Morse Code. Once it was dark enough, we were alerted to the most spectacular fireworks display by the ROAR of the 5 inch guns. When all was said and done, Pack 330 settled into their cots in the crew quarters for a much longed for rest and Taps was played for the night. Sunday morning dawned bright and early with Reveille played at 6:30am.
