Shaftsbury Street Fair & Bake Sale
The Pack made about $220 a the very wet Shaftsbury Street Fair held at Shaftsbury Elementary on 9/6/08. Unfortunately, the rain kept many people at home, but a few hardy souls ventured out for the evening.
The Scouts and Scout parents worked the food table and helped man the 3 games we had set up. There was a Lollipop Tree, a Duck Pond, and a Catapult. We also played games provided by the Rec Committee - a sack race, a Tug-of-War and others.
Our citizens were very supportive of our Bake Sale but there were plenty of baked goods left over. Mai Ly Shays' family took the remaining goodies to the Soup Kitchen.
"The Soup Kitchen really appreciated the donation of baked goods. It was perfect timing. They were hosting a group from the Teen Challenge which helps to support individuals who are in recovery. They were excited that they now had plenty of dessert to feed their guests."--Mai Ly
A Round of Applause to all the Pack 330 bakers and those who attended to help us in our endeavors! Thank you!
