WINTER OVERNIGHT // CAMP ROKILIO

Our current plans call for a trip north to the "Space Station" for a cold-weather get-away! As of 1/1/09, we are filled with 32 scouts, almost as many parents!
Cubs will head up to "Roke" after school on Friday and spend the night and the next day making, oh, birdhouses or toolboxes or something. This helps fulfill a number of advancement requirements. We might also have time to share some Pinewood tips, and boys will have the chance to earn their Whittling Cards and Patches.
Of course we may try to build some fires in the snow, maybe even a snow shelter, and we'll be sure to test out Rokilio's wild toboggan run! We will have a huge outdoor bonfire on Friday night, and maybe do some stargazing.
Bingo? Broomball?
Bring your snowshoes if you've got 'em.
The Space Station is heated.
Tent campers are welcome!
(First- and second-graders must have a parent attend.
Older boys may attend without a parent but must have a responsible non-den-leader parent along to supervise.)
