Running With The Pack!

Hi Everyone!
We're looking for a few hardy souls on what could be a windy, cool Saturday morning in November...
Concordia University is staging the 13th Annual President's (the University's President) 5K Run and 1.5 mile walk. This is a neat event for the kids to participate in because it is run on the CU 5K Cross Country course. It should be more fun, and very safe. The 5K distance is = 3.1 miles, which is a good challenge for most Cub Scouts!
The "race" begins at 9:00am, but we will gather after 8:00am in the CU Field House with others to warm and stretch, and maybe have some coffee! We can talk a little about fitness, running and cross country racing.
After the race, we will hand out patches and we might even have a few scouts take home awards - they have unique, "hand-crafted" awards for the top three U10 finishers, and there were only three last year in that group...
The first 150 entries are guaranteed a t-shirt, but you are on your own for this one! Please let me know if you are planning to register, though, and I will secure a 2009 Limited Edition "Running With The Pack" emblem for your scout! It's the one seen above. Younger scouts who elect to do the 1.5 mile walk will also receive a patch.
