S.O.S! Save Our Seeds!
Date: 9/29/09 - 9/29/09
Time: 4:00PM - 6:00PM
Location: Mequon Nature Preserve
Have you heard of the Emerald Ash Borer?
Maybe not, but America is losing its ash trees to this invasive species at an alarming rate - millions of trees have been destroyed already. In fact, the loss of EVERY American ash tree in the near future is a real possibility.
How can we help? By gathering ash tree seeds from around ash trees, we can ensure a future for our ash trees in all of their present diversity.
We can also help by not transporting firewood across county lines!
Kristin from the Mequon Nature Preserve is going to help us learn more about this issue, and then we'll go out into the woods of the Mequon Nature Preserve to be heroes to our trees!
It's our first Pack Meeting of the year, and it's OUTSIDE!
Check out these links, and then come (in uniform) to the Mequon Nature Preserve right after school on Tuesday, September 29th!

See you there!
